the crazy ones
Here's to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They're not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can't do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.

E-Book Readers
I love e-books. I love to read on the go, while I’m traveling. I wanna get one of those e-book readers that are so handy and neat I can bring them wherever and be able to read my favorite e-books anytime, anywhere. Books with hardcovers are hard to lug around so at this age of technology, we are also given some products that make activities like reading all the more convenient. What is your favorite e-book reader?

virus alert!
![]() |
| Whoaa! |
Last week, while I was browsing the Internet, a window popped up advertising some contest. It didn’t just pop up once, it popped up many times during the day and I was worried maybe my laptop has a virus. I ran my virus scanner, but it didn’t detect a virus. So I thought maybe it’s spyware. So I ran my anti malware program. But still, it didn’t detect anything. So lastly, I uninstalled and reinstalled my browser. That did the trick. Thankfully I didn’t have to do a whole system reformat. We need to take care of our computers. A clean hard drive disk is very important, first and foremost. You want to avoid getting virus into your system, that's SCARY!

building our house
Years ago, when my parents were just starting to build our house, I remember I was around 9 years old. My sister, who was 7 years old then, we would play around the house and watched as the construction workers did their thing. We would see tools like saws and huge logs of wood and hammers and nails all around. At one point, we would play jokes with them! Haha. It’s funny when I look back and think about it.

school days
When I was little, I remember I had lots of books from school. Every start of the school year, I would have a pile of books that I brought home and they are of all sizes and width. I’ve kept every single one of them because they just make me nostalgic every time I see them. It’s like I’m back in grade school all over again. I know, I’m a very sentimental person and a pack rat really. My mom was bugging me to let the old books go. She would say, “You don’t use them anymore, sell your textbooks and you can earn some money. I don’t want to, but I guess I’ll follow her advice one of these days. LOL.

boring weekend...
It’s been a stormy weekend, and what’s worse, there’s no electricity! I hate having to stay at home without electricity, because then I can’t do anything. All around, the lights are out, televisions are off, and people are only relying on battery powered radios to get updates on the current weather. It’s really a bummer when you’re stuck at home during weekends with absolutely nothing to do. I’d like to be productive as much as possible, so if I wanna relax, I want to be able to do the things I do that makes me relax… like listen to music, watch TV, play the piano, surf the Net, play PC games. But if there’s no electricity, I can’t do any of that. Oh well, at least I got to sleep for a while longer and I got to read untouched books. Hehe.

job hunt
I applied for jobs today. And just like any other job hunter, I had my documents with me, including my resume and other important papers like transcript of records, diploma, birth certificate, and a lot more. Some jobs require that you put your papers in one envelope for better processing. So I had to buy one and then I looked for it. Job hunting is never easy, but as long as you are confident and you get out there, you can find one. Better than just to stay at home and do nothing, right? Don’t be lazy. Be productive.

a funny chit-chat
It was a clear afternoon and it was such a nice day. I was with my friend and we were talking about a lot of things. It was just a random chitchat really. She told me she went to this store to get her dad his favorite cigar. She meant to surprise him but her dad saw the receipt and the surprise was spoiled. Hahaha. But at least she made her dad smile. Nothing like some random chitchat on a beautiful afternoon.

shirt prints
Did I ever mention I love customized t-shirts? Well, I do. I love them. I have customized tees in my wardrobe now. Some have simple one-word texts on them, some have a full quote written in the front or in the back. And also some have pictures that I picked that hold significant meaning. So what do I like about them really? Well, I just like the fact that I can choose what I want to put on the shirt and wear it proudly. It just holds so much more meaning than just random stuff that you couldn’t care less about. So I would say I’m a fan of these shirts.

inside the church
I went to this new church yesterday in Malolos and I was impressed at the interior. I’ve been to different kinds of churches, old and new, and I always look at the altar and how they designed the whole interior. If I walked in, and the ambiance was nice and solemn, that feeling stays with me and I would most likely go back there more than once. Of course, a church is not a hotel, where you need to demand comfort, but sometimes, it just feels good to pray in a church that’s well taken care of and really maintained.

i want bean bag chair
I love bean bag chairs. I’ve always wanted to buy some to put in my room. I spent a lot of time designing my dream room in my mind and in that imagination, I always envisioned different colored seating decked at various parts of my room. It’s just nice to look at. They’re comfortable and they look cute. As a girl, it’s nice to have a room that’s not too girly but not too shabby either. And these little cushions are the perfect compliment to any girl’s room. I will definitely be on the look out for these and I’ll buy one when I get the chance.

beware!
If you’re scared of your computer getting viruses or being hacked, you have to place security tools to protect your computer. Nowadays, an anti-virus scanner is no longer enough. The most pressing issue now is protecting your computer from hackers. You don’t want to lose your most important information and find it in the hands of some hacker who will not only hack your social media accounts but worse, your identity and your bank account. That’s why it’s important that you know where to get the best computer security.

Coin Collection
I like collecting coins. When I use a foreign currency, I always see to it that I hold on to a coin or two to add to my coin collection. I’m not only collecting foreign currencies I’m also interested in unique coins which is sooo awesome. I loved the look of it and the feel of it in my hand. I was so happy to add it to my collection. There are so many designs to collect and I’m just a newbie but I hope someday my collection grows bigger.

some thoughts for the brokenhearted
- Some people say that you don’t know what you have until you lose it, but it’s not like that. You always know what you have, you just never thought you would lose it.
- Hearts are easily torn but can also be sown together by someone who cares. Though the scars won’t fade, the stitches will always be there to remind you that someone loves you enough to keep you whole again.
- Goodbyes make you think. They make you realize what you’ve had, what you’ve lost and what you’ve taken for granted. They make you realize that sometimes, there are no next times, no time outs and no second chances.
- It’s okay to cry as hard and as long as you want to. Just make sure that when you stop crying, you won’t cry for the same reason anymore.
- Pain is when you can’t breathe even if your chest still rises and falls. Sadness is when you look out the window and think the rain are your tears. Loneliness is when you still feel a hand touching yours even if there’s none. Desperation is when you wait for a message that will never come. Love is when you experience all those things and still open your heart to that someone.
- Don’t be bitter and full of hatred when the one you love doesn’t love you the way you love her/him. Ask, listen and let go. Don’t force yourself to understand when you can’t, to fight hard when obviously it’s over and to play deaf to the nagging truth that what you’ve had doesn’t work and won’t work anymore. Instead, say: “I have loved you more than you think I would, but I feel sorry that you’ve lost your chance to be loved more than you would ever feel in your life after this…”
- In life, we always search for answers because we want to prove ourselves that we had the right decisions but the truth is we can’t search for what is not there. Things happen because it is meant to happen. That’s why we forgive people even if they hurt us, we love people who don’t love us and we smile despite every painful crash in our hearts. At the end of the day, the lesson you get are the answers to your decisions.
- Sometimes you need to set things free even though it’s hard. Things may not be the same but soon you’ll see that what you did is far better than before.

weekend jamming!
| weeeppeey! |
Just got back from a weekend outing with my friends. We had a blast! It was raining nonstop this past week, and when we first arrived in our destination, it was a damp Friday afternoon. The streets were wet, you could see people hurrying to their businesses with umbrellas and raincoats, motorcycles on the streets have their motorcycle covers on, and basically, it was a day that’s not conducive for an outing. But thankfully, the weather cleared by in the morning. We had a lot of fun. Laughter with friends is really a stress reliever. Now it’s Monday, back to work again. Sigh.

Audio Books

With the explosion of personal media players like iPods and even mobile phones which can carry media files, even a routine walk can be turned into an education.
Not all books are good for easy listening. Audio books on goal setting and motivation lend themselves well to listening while walking. That’s not to say you can’t enjoy an audio narration of a novel or even a bit of poetry.

tears stain on my pillow
![]() |
| cry me a river |
Me, I like crying. Not that I like the reason behind it… it’s just a good outlet for me. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not a cry baby or anything like that. I just see crying as a form of release, a way to cleanse my emotional batteries, if I may put it that way. Usually, after a good cry, I feel so much better!
I know people cry over so many different things and for a variety of reasons. We can cry when we’re hurt, we can cry when we’re happy. We can even cry when we’re angry! But you know how it is sometimes, when you’re just feeling sad and for some reason you just feel like crying? This is exactly what I was feeling last night. I was feeling a bit down and sad. I mean, this week hasn’t been particularly great for me. What with all the stress at work and handling personal problems, and not having a chance to unwind lately, I guess it all just sort of bottled up inside me.
So I went to bed with a not-so-good feeling. When I woke up this morning, there were tear stains on my pillow. Go figure.

butterflies in the stomach
If you have butterflies in your stomach i think its impossible to get rid of them. You may be able to think of a sad time and they would go away cause your mood as changed.
Actually, all people have a fight or flight instinct. It is for when you are in danger, so you can fight back harder, or get away faster. It's the adrenaline messing with your digestion. To get rid of them, run in place for a while to use up the adrenaline, or take deep breaths and think calm thoughts to make your heart stop pumping it.

i miss my books!
I miss reading!!! I swear, I’ve become so busy with my life right now that I have ZERO time for reading books. And that’s a bummer, because I really enjoy reading. Every time I read, I get lost in an imaginary world, and I miss that feeling. I wanted to read Time Traveler’s Wife because I hear that’s good. The last novels I’ve read are the Twilight Saga and that’s months ago! I really don’t have time to open a book these days. Oh well, maybe soon… I will get to do that. Reading is one of my passions so it’s silly to quit just like that.

little fear
I’ve always wanted to go on a road trip. There’s something really exciting about it, going out of town, into a new place, leaving all your problems behind for a while, meet new people, have time for yourself for even just the weekend. Sounds good, right? I’ve always wanted to try that, but I haven’t yet. Well, for one thing, I don’t have much money to really enjoy the trip. And lastly, I’m kinda scared. I know I said it’s fun, but sometimes my head makes me think one thing, and the next minute, there’s a voice that also makes me second-guess myself.
“What if I get lost with no roadside assistance?” Or “What if something bad happens?” Those kinds of questions keep popping into my head. But I realize that if I think like this all the time, I won’t be able to get anywhere! If I let my fear dictate where I’m going, then I won’t be able to truly appreciate the joys that life has to offer! Ever thought of the same thing? I am starting to address this fear of mine, because I really want to travel! So I hope you start to address yours too. We can do it!

life is ... ScArY!
We always want to take the easy way out because we’re scared, and we are scared because if we try and fail there is no one to blame but us… but let me tell you this, “Life is scary. Get used to it!” There are no magical fixes, it’s all up to you. So get up on your feet and start doing the work. And if it’s too hard for you to take… just remember: “Nothing in this world that’s worth having… comes easy.”

my room
I redecorated my room today. I just woke up this morning, I looked around, and I said to myself I’ve had enough of this look. I took off the window curtains and replaced them with cool new curtains then I dragged my bed into a new position, changed my sheets, placed my 2 cute teddy bears in one corner and decked the room with stuffed toys and picture frames. I also got rid of all the clutter and tidied up my work desk. I stood back and surveyed my work. Now that’s more like it.

the truth
Sometimes, when people decide to leave you for good, you have to let them. No matter how much you don’t want them to. There are some things that are far beyond our control and even if you have the strength to fight for them, you have to accept the cold, harsh truth… THAT THE PEOPLE YOU CAN’T LIVE WITHOUT, CAN LIVE WITHOUT YOU.

if i could only turn back time
I woke up with a nice feeling this morning. These past few weeks have been a drag for me, but lately, I’m starting to feel better again, my heart feels a lot lighter. There are quite a few things I realized recently. For one thing, I realized that life is too precious to spend feeling sorry for myself, or to constantly ponder on things that I don’t have the power to change anyway. I realized that sometimes, something will spiral out of control, and even though I never really expected it to happen, I’ll just see it unraveling before my very eyes, and I can’t do anything to stop it. I realized that even though there are some things that I wished I could have done differently, it’s no use agonizing over it, because it’s already happened.
I’ve been through a lot in my life, I’ve made a lot of mistakes, but I’ve pushed through somehow (I couldn’t have done it without God’s help, of course). I’ve been through a lot of pain and heartaches, but I’ve also experienced love, happiness, and joy along with the not-so-good things. And those were the moments that I wouldn’t trade for anything else.
Today, I realized that even if I were given a chance to go back, if I could turn back time, I would be willing to go through them again. I might have a few regrets, but I wouldn’t change a thing. I am who I am now because of what I’ve been through. At the end of the day, what’s really important is that I have learned my lessons and I could move on with my life armed with those lessons, and become a better person because of them.
Most people have so many regrets that if only they could turn back time, they would change a lot of things. But for me, thinking about it now, even if I have to go through all the “bad things” again to experience the good, I think I most definitely would. It might sound kind of masochistic to some, but life isn’t just all about the beautiful things, you know. We have to experience the bad, to appreciate the good. After all, they’re both part of life, right?
I know those wonderful memories will only be in the past now, but I’ll be looking back at them with smiles, and I will treasure those memories forever.

prom night
When I was in high school, we’ve never worn a prom dress, we just wear our daily uniform on that special day. I know, kinda lame, huh? But I missed that experience. So don’t let these chances pass you by! We only live once, so make the most of it! Take a lot of chances! That’s essential for us to grow!

hassle
I was a little under the weather last week, okay, that’s a bit of an understatement, since I was coughing my lungs out at the time. I can’t even sleep well because of all the coughing. Now, I’ve become better, but I still cough a little. Getting sick really is a hassle.
