I gained weight! Argh! Oh well… I told myself when my vacation from work started, there will be no dieting and counting of calories. I believe you can’t really enjoy Korea without enjoying their food too. It’s all part of the fun! Eating is fun! And eating new foreign dishes is double the fun! I didn’t overeat, mind you. I just ate more than my usual eating patterns. LOL. But anyway, back to dieting! If you have a chance to visit, try their food and forget dieting for a while! Korea is a food haven!!! Haha.

when it's raining...
I love the sound of the rain, it gives me a nostalgic, warm, fuzzy feeling that I’ve come to associate with bed. It’s been raining quite frequently these past few weeks. Although it’s a drag when I have to leave the house because I have to take out my umbrella and travelling is such a pain when it’s raining… but I actually find myself looking forward to curling up in my bed in the evening, listening to the rain fall outside.
Last night, it was raining pretty hard and I got wet trying to get home after buying some groceries. When I got home, as usual I got some chips and milk from the fridge, and curled on my bed to watch reruns of my favorite TV show. It might be a pretty boring pastime for some, but at that particular moment, listening to the rain outside, I was contented and I felt I was right where I needed to be.
Let me share with you some of the things that comes to my mind when it’s raining. I imagine:
- staying at home, eating ice cream
- being with a loved one, cuddling
- having a splash in the rain
- hanging out with friends at my house
- curled up in my bed, reading a good book
- sitting in front of a window, watching the rain
- playing board or card games with my sister
- long talks with my cousins
- with videoke/karaoke, singing like there’s no tomorrow
- chatting with my best friend, clutching pillows
- having a nice warm shower
- watching TV/DVD’s, eating snacks (my favorite)
- playing a computer game
- grabbing coffee with a friend or alone
- drinking warm chocolate fudge with marshmallows
These are just some of the things I think of when it’s raining. I haven’t really done each and every one of them, but I sure would love doing them once I get the chance. How about you, do you love the rain too? What are some of the things you think of when it’s raining?

terrible cook
Yesterday, I embarked on a journey. I’m going to cook for lunch. I decided to cook shrimp curry after visiting a cooking website. Easy huh? Last night, I have all the ingredients bought. Too bad, there's no available shrimp in the market because its already mid-dawn... So this morning, I hurriedly went to the market again, but with no luck. How could I cook without the main ingredient! Grrr! And so, I replace shrimp with chicken instead. Then I began cooking.
So while cooking in the middle part of the procedure... comes the problem. The problem was that the recipe writer did not list one of the ingredient that will be used (the bread crumbs). The ingredient was first listed in the procedure part of the recipe. Stupid me for not reading...
The result? I ate outside. Im terribly hungry!
